Issue with CM3588 kiling NVME after a few months

Hello,
I have been using the CM3588 NAS kit with 2 x 2 TB WD770 NVME drives as mirrored RAID with OMV

It ran well for a few months when the use was nominal.
But when i tried to put it to use to save appx 2 Gb of data as small files , both the drives failed within a week.

As the drives are under warranty they are sent for RMA but loss of data is an issue worring me.
Has anyone else faced such issue of the NVME failing in CM3588 NAS Kit

This failure of both drives has defeated the concept of NAS and saving mirrored data
Is the CM3588 board at fault ?
What can be done to check the CM3588 NAS board for such failures

One of my NVME drives has just failed

had it running around 8 months and i saw that the drive activity light was constantly lit one morning (didnt think anything of it ,till i tried to access some data and found that it wasnt even showing up in the OS)

Decided to move away from the CM3588 and get a mini lenovo PC instead with a PCIe nvme adapter

hopefully i can re-use the cm3588 maybe with some 5g cards in the nvme slots instead
