Hi,
I have 8/64 Nas kit with four ATP AF960GSTJA M.2 nvme ssd. Installed OpenMediaVault image from friendlyelec googledrive. Problem is while idle, the sssd temperature increase quickly up to 80 degrees celcius. During file transfer or if dashboard is open in any active browser page temperature of ssds decrease quickly down to 45 degrees celcius. If there is no file transfer or another page open other than dashboard, temperature rises quickly again. During all of these cpu temperature is normal like 47degrees.
I have only cpu fan and no other fan for ssds.
If I put a small fan over ssds, temperature keep around 45 degrees.
Is it not possible to use this nas kit and ssds without fan?
I am confused why ssd is hot during idle time, and cooler when there is activity on it.
